Data Roaming happens when a subscriber is roaming and using data services such as Internet access, data transfer or text messages.

Generally, the main concern about roaming tariffs is centered on the costs relating to making and receiving calls, and data roaming tariffs have been less talked about.

However Data Roaming is an area where tariffs differ widely and it is often not straightforward to figure out how the operators charge the different kinds of data traffic.

The good news is that data charges when roaming are included in EUs initiatives to limit roaming tariffs.
